Romanian tyre manufacturer Rotras is to double year-on-year its output in 2002, the plant's management said on December 4, 2001.
Romania's Mehedinti county prefect Dan Trancota paid a working visit to Rotrans, run by the Romanian Tofan Group, to assess the plant's state after its privatisation, on December 4, 2001. Rotrans is most likely to create new jobs in 2002. A total of $2.5 mln (2.8 mln euro) were invested in the plant after the privatisation. Tofan Group bought the plant in the spring of 1998.
